As the worldwide market for Natural Gas and LNG fuel vehicles continues to develop, Continental Controls will bring it’s technological innovations from Stationary engines to this new and important market. By thinking outside the box of traditional mechanical carburetors, CCC is able to offer improved air and fuel mixing and improved fuel control for Natural Gas Vehicles.
The EGC 2 and EGC 4 will improve fuel economy for Natural Gas Vehicles through improved fuel mixing and enhanced variable pressure control.
CCC will focus initially on new and aftermarket solutions for fleets of Trucks, Buses and Heavy Equipment. The current cost associated with Carb certification for retrofit of specific automobiles makes the cost of entry too expensive. Groups such as the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition are working to reduce or remove this obstacle and when that happens, CCC will evaluate the possibility of manufacturing retrofit kits for specific manufacturers or models.
Ideal applications for the EGC 2 and EGC 4 Electronic Gas Carburetors are the following Natural Gas Vehicle fleets:
Public Transportation Buses
School Buses
Shuttle Buses
Delivery Vehicles and Trucks
The EGC 2 and EGC 4 will accommodate Natural Gas engines up to 500 horsepower.
