Continental Controls Corporation is the Original Manufacturer of these Turbine Control Black Boxes. CCC has built and sold more than 60,000 of these boxes over the last 35 years.

Contrary to industry rumors, every black box that Continental Controls ever produced is still available as an active part of our product line. We continue to manufacture MFAC (Main Fuel Actuator Controls), Speed and Temperature Monitors. Two shaft turbines always use one MFAC, one Temperature Monitor and two Speed Monitors.

The MFAC box controls the fuel to the turbine and offers a 0-50ma analog output to a sero actuator that controls the fuel. The temperature Monitor monitors the T5 or T7 Temperature with 3 set points and helps to prevent any over temperature condition. The Speed Monitor monitors the speed of the gas producer and power turbine with 4 gates or set points and offer a 0-5vdc or 0-200ma output. A redundant over speed shut down should always be provided.

CCC can manufacture a new box to a specific calibration requirement. We also offer an overhaul service where most boxes can be repaired and recalibrated.

Warning: These Black Boxes contain analog relays which need periodic replacement. It is not sufficient to have boxes just recalibrated while keeping in place the old relays. These should be replaced at least every 50,000 hours of operation.
